As our Receptionist/Scheduler, you:
- Are primarily responsible for front desk reception and patient check-in, scheduling, phone triage, office inventory, and other duties as assigned.
- Will act as a healthcare access representative to patients and/or vendors.
- Coordinate on-going patient flow through the clinic process, ensuring efficient and effective continuity, accurate completion of all required forms, greeting patients, verifying demographics and insurance information, and coordinating physician releases.
- Collect co-payments and/or outstanding balances.
- Inform patients of financial assistance opportunities.
- Maximize clinic efficiency by utilizing protocols to schedule visits, maintain patient wait list, coordinate appointment reminders, and accurately document cancellations and no-shows.
- Proactively serve as a patient advocate by utilizing courteous and professional etiquette at all times, reflecting positive tone and speaking distinctly with poise, tact and assurance.
- Maintain professional appearance of reception area.
